Tulum has become something of a scene in recent years, as well known for attracting a crowd of influencers and DJs as for its deserted beaches and its once-pervasive tranquility. Ana y Jose Charming Hotel & Spa, however, helps its guests reclaim a piece of paradise. Located on the edge of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, the property is fifteen minutes’ drive from the city’s main hotel zone.
The rooms are a mix of palapa-style roofs and more conventional villas, many of which have views of the surrounding tropical gardens. Many of the buildings offer views of the tropical gardens surrounding the hotel, and a select few look straight out to sea. Here, it’s easy to escape the crowds: unwind on the hotel’s private beach, go for a swim in the infinity pool, or indulge in a Mayan mud wrap at the spa.
