On the Italian side of Mont Blanc, at the heart of Courmayeur, is Le Massif, a luxury hotel whose exterior is a contemporary re-interpretation of the classic Alpine-lodge silhouette, and whose interiors are pure modern-rustic opulence. The accommodations range from cozy doubles to sprawling suites; all of them are luxe in their comforts and are blessed with views of the Alps, the better ones Mont Blanc itself. There’s a fine spa as well as a capable kids’ club, plus three high-end restaurants; up the mountain, right on the ski slopes, you’ll find La Loge du Massif.
