The Andrássy Kúria & Spa hotel sits within a 200-year-old manor house once used as a hunting lodge by the Andrássy family, and the warmly-run Andrássy Restaurant occupies its impressive vaulted cellar and then spills out onto a terrace. The chef takes traditional regional and family dishes like lángos and brassói and gives them a refreshingly modern, colourful touch. Local Tokaj wines – sourced from within a 45-mile radius – are also a draw, with many available by the glass.
