The centre was re-opened in 2010 after the upgrade from the HUP project. It's always crowded by students, local workers and nearby residents as it's surrounded by car workshops and HDB. Tourists also come here to try famous local dishes like claypot laksa or Shui Jing Pau. Teochew dumplings with jicama filling; also dumplings with red bean paste or taro paste after 1pm.
