Modern Design & Lively
Miiro The Mansard opened in Gstaad as a contemporary alternative to the town's grand five-star palaces: relaxed but refined, built by Swiss craftsmen using local materials like larch wood and parquet. 27 out of 29 rooms feature protected balconies where guests can sit outside even during snowfall, a small detail that reflects the hotel's attention to how spaces actually get used. Chef Tom Walter, who trained under Tanja Grandits at her Michelin two-starred Stucki in Basel, runs the ground-floor brasserie with a menu that highlights local farmers and cheesemakers. The rooftop restaurant, Gstaad's only one, stays open year-round with wraparound views and a more casual menu overseen by Walter.
