The name refers to this restaurant’s location – perched on the sixth floor of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and affording brilliant views of the River Tyne. Formerly the Rank Hovis flour silo, before being transformed into a gallery in the 1990s, the building is an imposing and eye-catching presence in the city. A set menu comes in ‘Land and Sea’ and ‘Plant’ formats, delivering colourful dishes that are generous in both size and flavour, using fine produce like wild rabbit and Seaton Sluice langoustines.
