Its name may be a bit of a thumb-twister, but the appeal of the seaside Hôtel Ha(a)ïtza is a straightforward one: a fine location close to the Dune de Pilat, less than an hour’s drive from Bordeaux; a 1930s villa with a memorable silhouette; and modern interiors by none other than Philippe Starck. Its rooms, suites, and apartment are unfailingly stylish and bright, as is, in a different way, the hotel’s photogenic pool deck.
