MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The year 2020 marked a major change at Myomi ; a complete makeover. Chef Kim Jeong-muk, who took up the baton as the head of the kitchen, presents quite a different style. The use of Korean ingredients and cooking techniques remain unchanged, but the chef has added subtle new inflections to his dishes as the venue’s name Myomi (“subtle charm”) fittingly suggests. To sample these modern touches, opt for the restaurant's punch—a mixture of fruit syrup, radish water kimchi broth, as well as fresh fruit like peach and watermelon. Myomi’s second act, set in a gorgeous space with a view of Changdeokgung Palace, is an experience that diners eagerly await.
