While many hotels in Saint-Tropez look back — either to the Sixties or to the turn of the 20th century — Hôtel Sezz trusts that the town’s signature glamour isn’t tied to any one historical period. This ultra-chic luxury boutique hotel is the result of a partnership between hotelier Shahé Khalaidjian and designer Christophe Pillet, and a truly inspired one; though its visual language contains a wealth of retro references, including splashes of color that are subtly but surely Provençal, Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez is a fresh perspective on this classic destination.
The accommodations are modern in aspect, but with plenty of warmth, designed to be as comfortable as they are easy on the eye. Even the most basic Bungalow comes with a garden, a private terrace, and an outdoor shower, while higher-end units add not just extra space but in some cases plunge pools as well. And the bedrooms are only half the story; along with a heated 200-square-meter swimming pool you’ll find the Spa Sezz by Cinq Mondes.
As for restaurants and bars, Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez suffers from no shortage. By the poolside is the Bar by Dom Pérignon, as well as the bistro-style Le C; the main event, of course, is the MICHELIN-Starred Colette, named for the author who once lived on the site.
