October and November are the best months to visit Rome, when the scorching days are behind us, but a mild warmth still envelops the city as it is caressed by an intoxicating breeze. Autumn is conducive to being outdoors, day and night, and to taking full advantage of a host of activities. In addition to monuments, museums, shopping, aperitivi, and dinners, there are many other reasons to plan your own Roman Holiday.
