Yokohama’s Knot is a 2017 boutique-hotel reimagining of the historic Yokohama Kokusai Hotel, sleekly furnished, promising a chic home base for travelers who make the short trip down from Tokyo. Dusky guest rooms with handsome wooden accents feature bespoke furnishings designed in collaboration with Japan’s Acme interior decor firm. These suites are available in a relatively extensive variety of sizes, whatever the traveler’s needs, and feature all the expected comforts and amenities. Laundry and vending machines are available at all hours on the fourth floor, as is a dedicated smoking room on the third. The Knot’s restaurant is Panwok, its name perhaps telegraphing its forays into both Western and Eastern cuisines.
