The 800-year Old Bell Hotel, in the Cotswold town of Malmesbury, might be the oldest inn in England. Under its present owners, an American couple with local roots and Texan hospitality experience, it’s neither a period piece nor a completely modern reinvention, but a contemporary evolution.
