It’s hard to imagine a better-connected location for a London luxury hotel than this one, mere steps from Liverpool Street Station in one direction and equidistant from the Gherkin in the other. Pan Pacific London occupies a modern glass tower of its own, and its interiors (by hospitality design powerhouse Yabu Pushelberg) pay tribute both to the City of London and to the Far Eastern heritage of the Singapore-based Pan Pacific brand.

The style throughout aims for a maximally soothing effect, a welcome contrast with the buzz of the City below. This is especially true in the 237 rooms and suites, which vary in the details of their layouts, sizes, and views, but which are uniformly chic in a palatable way, and which are somewhere on the spectrum from luxurious to extravagant. And something similar can be said of the hotel’s public spaces; Sensory Spa & Wellbeing spans an entire floor of the One Bishopsgate Plaza tower, while among the restaurants is Straits Kitchen, which highlights South Asian flavors.
