Standing right next door to the famous lighthouse in question is the Kimpton Lighthouse Hotel, a loose association of 19th-century buildings spanning half a city block, right across the street from the Hemingway residence. Its rambling grounds include a swimming pool and gardens surrounding an old banyan tree, all of which make for fine outdoor lounge space. The rooms are contemporary-classic in style, with fun tropical prints and vintage-inspired furniture and artwork, plus modern details like Samsung HD televisions and Atelier Bloem bath products; the bar, Isabel’s, pours Hemingway-inspired mojitos as well as a bloody mary with breakfast.
