It’s the 21st century in Morocco, too — the Hyatt Regency Casablanca is contemporary from top to bottom, and why shouldn’t it be? It’s set less than half a mile from the old medina, and surrounded by colonial-era Art Deco buildings, both of which are paid subtle homage in its interiors. Many of the rooms have views of the Hassan II mosque or the Atlantic ocean, and all of them are properly luxurious. The spa is the place to get your fill of traditional Moroccan architecture, and Café M serves upscale French fare, while Dar Beida focuses on local classics.
