This opulent early 20C manor house, on the Atlantic seaboard, offers the choice of dining in a revamped Belle Époque interior strewn with opulent bronze statues and silky curtains, the work of none other than Jacques Garcia, or on the alfresco patio shaded by pine trees. The modern menu of chef Éric Mignard, inspired by seasonal availability (fish and hand gathered shellfish from the islet of Batz, seaweed from Croisic), serenely navigates between classicism (illustrated by his crisp langoustine biscuit) and high-flying creativity (depicted by his knock-out association of cucumber and kiwi – refreshing and suave). Bang on food with a purpose.
