MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
This contemporary eatery at a remove from the town centre used to be the station café. The chef here employs premium ingredients and his considerable technical skill to conjure up his creative cuisine, transporting diners to Brazil, for example, with a wild pollack moqueca, herb salad and farofa. His impressive desserts, such as beef heart tomato in puffed sugar and sage cream, deserve a special mention. Terrific wine list.
