MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

School’s out! In its place, this gently nostalgic establishment has a classroom - style dining room, courtyard terrace and kitchen garden in the old playground. Contemporary cuisine.

We ate lunch here twice in two days because I was studying the works in the Zadkine museum, and it was a wonderful place to sit for a couple of hours in the shade of their lovely courtyard. The food and service were both faultless: good selection of meat and fish starters and main courses, particularly liked the asparagus that had been fried with some cream cheese, a perfectly cooked piece of mi-cuit tuna with sesame, the amuse bouche of gazpacho. The highlight was probably the desserts which tasted as good as they looked. (rarely do I feel like photographing the food I am served but the puddings deserved it)
