Boasting a refreshed interior, new seats and an open kitchen equipped with extra gadgets, Big Jones greets guests with a "Guide to Good Drinking" that includes barrel-aged punch selections, as well as an impressive lineup of Bourbon and whiskey. Between that and the high-top tables, this is a guaranteed good time. Yes, it’s no front porch in Louisiana, but it’s certainly close. The menu is still filled with dishes that reach back in Southern history and the staff loves to dive into ancient detail. But this does not mean that the food doesn't explain itself. Favorites that one can look forward to include homemade pimento cheese with Tasso ham cured in-house, or crawfish étouffee swimming with butter and wine and laid atop spicy, smoky Braggadocio rice.
