Crown and Castle

Crown and Castle Hotel, Orford, UK
21 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Quiet
It’s thought that the original 12th century inn which once stood on the site of the Crown and Castle was built on the walls of Orford Castle, which perhaps explains the hotel’s name. Its latest incarnation is a Tudor-style house, home to 21 contemporary guest rooms, each individually decorated and some with private terraces or balconies. Views look across the estuary or the hotel’s own gardens, which can be accessed directly from a Garden Suite. The restaurant serves seasonal British fare, afternoon tea and traditional Sunday lunch, which makes for a hearty meal upon returning from one of the hotel’s walking routes, mapped out to show off the best of the Suffolk countryside.
