MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

It’s hard not to come to Greece with a picture already in mind, whether it’s one derived from the Homeric epics or from yogurt commercials. The question is whether the reality can live up to the fantasy. Grace Mykonos presents a refined, almost utopian vision of island life, all clean white edges and deep cerulean sea — here the fantasy just might be the reality.

Space is plentiful — even the simplest rooms come with king beds and private balconies, others add plunge pools, and the suites spread out accordingly, with views that only get better as the rooms ascend the terraced hillside.

Placed just above the protected Agios Stefanos beach, Grace Mykonos makes seaside lounging the top priority, whether in the sea itself or the hotel’s infinity pool. And between the spa, the Grace restaurant and the library lounge, every aspect of the good life is provided for — from salt sea scrubs to fresh Aegean seafood and even a bout of Socratic questioning. And with close proximity to Chora (Mykonos town), shopping and sightseeing are only moments away, and the call of nearly a dozen beaches ensures that reveling in the Grecian sun is always an option.

Please note: Grace Mykonos is open seasonally, May through October.

How to get there:
Mykonos can be easily reached by plane or ferry. Flight time from Athens is approximately 45 minutes. Ferries from Athens' Pireaus port to Mykonos take approximately 5 hours, and ferries from Santorini (Thira) to Mykonos take approximately 2 hours.
