It would be hard to find a more pure example of the Mallorcan farmhouse turned luxury hotel than The Lodge Mallorca. Its raw material is some 500 years old, and lies on a private nature reserve in the Tramuntana mountains. The restoration is nothing short of spectacular, leaving the Lodge’s interiors full of stark contrasts between ancient and modern elements, and between minimalist visuals and maximalist comforts. There’s a spa and facilities for yoga, golf, and more, including a very fine infinity pool, and the beach, incredibly, is just minutes away. Of particular note is Singular Restaurant, the work of chef Ramón Freixa, whose Madrid establishment has earned two Michelin stars.
