Hotel Casa Legado
The rooms take inspiration from the architectural character of the house, but they don’t stop there — the proprietor is an interior designer herself, and the style is contemporary, light, sunny, striking in its simplicity but warm and welcoming all the same. The rooms are all different, as befits a house with some pre-hotel history, and with a total capacity of just 17 guests, it still feels more like a guest house than a traditional hotel. The dining room seats guests communally, and the kitchen is available for guests’ use as well; a library, a garden, and a courtyard provide ample space for lounging, for socializing, or even — if it’s strictly necessary — a little bit of work. And for a vacation within a vacation, and a chance to see a little more of Colombia, Casa Legado offers day trips or overnight stays at the Manqué El Rosal, a two-bedroom farmhouse in the countryside an hour outside the city.
