Stylish, modern and upscale, this small restaurant accommodates just 14 diners. The open kitchen allows you to watch chef Julio Pizarro Villanueva at work as he creates inventive dishes shaped both by his Peruvian heritage and his many years of international culinary experience. This fascinating combination of traditional Peruvian cuisine and Japanese influences is presented in the form of a set menu centred on fish and seafood. "Dry-aged kingfish sashimi, yuzu and Kys oyster" is a fine example of excellent ingredients and beautifully balanced preparation. A wine pairing or alcohol-free drinks accompaniment is also available. Service is agreeably relaxed, personable and professional. The chef himself comes to the table to talk you through his dishes, and his passion for his homeland and outstanding produce is palpable. The terrace overlooking the old half-timbered town hall is a lovely spot for an aperitif. N.B. The menu starts at 7.15pm (please arrive 6.30-7pm).
