Join us for an exquisite dining experience featuring signature and original creations by chef Martin, paired with highly rated wines handpicked by Robert Parker Wine Advocate.
Prices range from S$220++ for lunch to S$400++ for dinner with wine and champagne. Seats can be booked from 13 June 2016.
About the chef:
A self-taught chef from Bourg-Saint-Maurice in France, Guy Martin is one of the most accomplished chefs and restaurateurs in Paris today. The 59 year old is chef-owner of Le Grand Véfour, the oldest restaurant in Paris and a revered beacon of French gastronomy that has served personalities from Napoleon and Victor Hugo to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Sir Paul McCartney over its two centuries of existence.
Known for his modern and sensuous cuisine with an emphasis on quality produce sourced from his native Savoie and various regions in France, chef Martin joined Le Grand Véfour in 1991 after a 10-year stint cooking in prestigious Relais and Chateaux institutions Château de Coudrée and Château de Divonne.
The latter was where he achieved his first recognition from the Michelin Guide: then the restaurant’s director and head chef at the tender age of 26, chef Martin guided the restaurant to earn its first Michelin star just six months after his arrival, followed by a second star five years later.
He furthered this success at Le Grand Véfour, which achieved a three Michelin star rating between 2000 to 2008 and holds two highly coveted stars today. He bought over the restaurant in 2011 and today heads four other distinguished restaurants across Paris and in the French Polynesia. To add to his already glittering repertoire, Chef Martin is also the acclaimed author of more than 20 cookbooks, and was decorated as an Officer of the Ordre de La Légion d'Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honor) by the French Government in 2012 for his achievements.
