MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Located on the main square, which is very busy on summer weekends as a result of the famous Ordal peach market held here. Cal Xim boasts a bar at the entrance, two neo-rustic-style dining rooms plus a third in the basement that doubles as a private room and wine cellar full of local wines and sparkling cavas. The focus here is on seasonal Catalan recipes, grilled dishes and, wherever possible, local meat (lamb, rabbit, veal, sausages etc). Charcoal-grilled artichokes feature among its specialities, although the Catalan spring onions (calçots) are also hugely popular.
