Luganodante is, first of all, located right in the heart of the city from which it takes the first half of its name. And if it takes the second from the poet Dante Alighieri, it’s from the Paradiso rather than the Inferno — the neon sign at the entry reads “Lost in Paradise,” and the rooms and suites are dressed in Lugano blue and heavenly white.
It’s both an attractive, playful boutique hotel and a thoroughly capable business hotel; the interior “green area” is an Edenic little escape. It’s also got a luxurious air about it, not least in the accommodations, which are thoughtfully furnished and crisply stylish. And in Flamel Restaurant & Mixology Bar you’ll find the hotel’s social heart, a zero-kilometer Ticinese bistro whose flavors combine Italian and French influences.
