The village of Garachico, on the northwest coast of Tenerife, has much to recommend it, including this uniquely colorful manor house turned adults-only boutique hotel. Hotel San Roque retains its traditional architecture — and its vivid burnt-orange exterior — and updates its twenty rooms and suites with unusual contemporary furnishings and vibrant contrasting colors. The Tower Suite is the most unique among them, but all are stylish and luxe. There’s a lovely swimming pool in the house’s central courtyard, and by the poolside is Restaurante Anturium, serving an upscale take on the traditional flavors of the Canary Islands.
