Bloom House intends its name to be taken quite literally — this 10th arrondissement boutique hotel, set mere blocks from both the Gare de l’Est and the Gare du Nord, is full of floral textures, live greenery, and warm-toned organic materials. Lovely enough on its own, it’s a particularly stark contrast to the stations themselves, and provides arriving travelers with a total aesthetic reset.

Its 91 rooms are characteristically economical with their space; some open onto substantial balconies with far-ranging views. All are stylish in a fun and eclectic way; the specter of minimalism is allowed no purchase here. The Bloomy Spa, with its 18-meter indoor pool, follow’s through on the hotel’s mission of restoration. Nor is restauration neglected — Bloom Garden serves Mediterranean-accented fare by the poolside, and the Bloom Bar pursues excellence in both coffee and cocktails.
