The Mira Hong Kong overlooks neither the waters of the harbour nor the dense thicket of waterfront skyscrapers, but the urban oasis that is Kowloon Park, a dose of greenery that’s far from typical in this dizzyingly vertical city. A chic lobby café fills in the gaps, and a verdant, palm-fringed open-air lounge occupies the fifth-floor courtyard terrace, and brings in live DJs on weekend nights. Meanwhile the Mira’s spa, with its glassy infinity pool, its color-enhanced aromatherapy showers, and its wide array of massages, treatments, and wellness classes, offers a contrasting note of tranquility.
