H10 Palazzo Galla

52 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Lively
A 19th-century building in central Rome, just to the east of the Piazza Venezia, is where you’ll find H10 Palazzo Galla, an 82-room outpost of the Spanish-born H10 hotel chain. And despite its Spanish affiliation, it’s Roman through and through — its interiors have been thoroughly renovated in a grand style that suggests the best of several eras of Italian style, from the turn of the 20th century to the modernism of glamorous Postwar Rome and even a bit of quasi-minimalist Italian luxury design.

Rooms range from the handsome entry-level Classic Rome rooms all the way up to the Panoramic Venezia Terrace Suite, named not for the northeastern maritime city itself but for the Piazza Venezia, which it overlooks.

As for location, the H10 Palazzo Galla is central enough, and certainly walkable. The Roman Forum is a quarter-mile to the south, and the Trevi Fountain not much further to the north. Lucio, the hotel’s restaurant, is a breakfast-only affair — for lunch and dinner you’re at the mercy of the city, which is not a difficult situation to be in. Two bars, including one on the rooftop, round out the hotel’s social offerings.
