The building is nothing if not distinctive. I have stayed at the Mauna Lani over the years on several locations. The standout here is the friendliness and high quality of service. Particularly high marks for the front desk staff. We originally were only booked in for 2 days and via bad Air BNB circumstances we had to stay 5 additional nights. The hotel's a tried and true winner. The rooms are comfortable. It's hard to get a bad view--important in Hawaii. The Canoe House has excellent dining in a lovely beachfront atmosphere. It's good value for money. Valet service was speedy.
