The MICHELIN Guide will announce its 2025 Key selection in a first-of-its-kind global event this fall, revealing new Keys and new awards for the world’s most outstanding hotels.

The road that runs between Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj could be described as the road of the two lakes. Situated in a region that looks out at the Julian Alps and is surrounded by green fields, castles and rural landscapes, these two lakes provide different images of the same land.

Koper, Izola, Portorož, Piran and the Korte hinterland all lie just a few kilometres from the sea. This is the less familiar Slovenia, a land close to the sea and coast that is far from the country’s inland rivers and mountains, where beautiful landscapes offer the same gastronomic abundance that characterises Slovenia as a whole. Culinary attractions here include fish from the Adriatic, wine, salt from Piran, and extra-virgin olive oils produced from olive groves influenced by the mild maritime climate.

It’s time to discover and celebrate Slovenian food and wine, as the country shines a spotlight on its gastronomic traditions – November is unquestionably the month of the year specifically dedicated to food.
