Contemporary Classic & Secluded
Archibald De Prince trained as sous-chef under René Mathieu at La Distillerie before opening his own restaurant with his wife Rachel in Lauterborn in 2024. Six months later, he earned a Michelin star. Vegetables drive most of the menu, though meat and fish appear occasionally. The restaurant operates with rooms upstairs: no televisions, just private bathrooms, double beds, minibars, and WiFi throughout. The dining room features modern art on the walls, and Mathieu's influence shows in the ingredient sourcing: local, seasonal, vegetables handled like centerpieces rather than sides.
