Hotel Villa Dubrovnik has been a long-time fixture on the Croatian seaside, when it opened as a prestigious residential building back in 1961. It was quickly transformed into an annex of the Hotel Argentina in 1963, and its rooms have looked across the old city and the Adriatic ever since. The chic neutral interiors have retro mid-century touches and blends together pieces by iconic Italian designer Gio Ponti with local Croatian designed furnishings. In Villa Spa, treatments are based around natural Mediterranean herbs and ingredients prized for their wellbeing properties, such as lavender to aid relaxation and mint for a restful night's sleep. The indoor pool and hot tubs show off the panoramic views of the Adriatic with floor to ceiling windows, although it’s even better from the outdoor terrace. The four bars and restaurants include the MICHELIN Guide recommended Restaurant Pjerin and Galanto bar, the only rooftop bar in Dubrovnik.
