Ameron Swiss Mountain Davos Resort is exactly what it sounds like: a mountain resort from the Köln-based purveyors of high-design luxury boutique hotels, set in one of Switzerland’s most famous Alpine resort towns. In fact, while Davos may be best known for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, it’s an extremely impressive winter-sports destination, and Ameron’s guests are more likely to be here for leisure than for business (though it can certainly handle both).

The rooms come with impressive mountain views, and while they’re decorated with plenty of nods to traditional Alpine style — pine paneling, faux fur, red upholstery — they’re predominantly contemporary in design.
