Modern Design & Lively
The first new hotel to open in the Whitsundays in nearly two decades, The Sundays brings a design-led, family-forward spirit to Hamilton Island. Local designer Carrie Williams reimagined one of the island’s original lodges into 59 light-filled rooms and suites, each with a balcony or terrace overlooking gardens or the Coral Sea. Interiors feature sculptural stonework, natural textures, and artwork by First Nations Hungarian artist Tiarna Herczeg. Catseye Pool Club, run by Josh and Julie Niland, offers a playful approach to seasonal dining. Thoughtful touches: blackout blinds, trundle beds, kitchenettes, make traveling with children feel effortless.
