Drawing House

21 Rue Vercingétorix, Paris, France
143 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Quiet
Art-themed hotels are perhaps more rare in Paris than you’d expect them to be, but the Drawing Society is out to change that. The organizers of an art fair and an exhibition space are now hoteliers as well, and Drawing House, in a corner of Montparnasse well known for its artistic heritage, is among the fruits of their labor. Here you’ll find a stylish, modern 143-room boutique hotel that would, quite frankly, be worth a look even without its artistic focus — but whose spaces are in fact filled from floor to ceiling with work by contemporary French artists.

Every room features murals or small framed works, and the common spaces of the hotel are even more richly illustrated. The Drawing Hall, the hotel’s exhibition space, presents a focused selection. Meanwhile the accommodations range from cozy Classics to expansive Family rooms and even a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and terrace. The location, 15 minutes by train from the heart of Paris, allows Drawing House a bit of extra space — here it’s put to good use with a swimming pool, a small spa, and an all-day restaurant, by no means a guarantee in a Parisian boutique hotel.
