A setting as dramatic as Patagonia is an architect’s dream, and for this site just outside of Puerto Natales, Pablo Larroulet designed prefab cabins made of hardy local lenga wood, arranged in a pattern that feels organic yet organized, complementing the landscape without quite disappearing into it. AKA Patagonia’s interiors are as stylish as its exteriors, and the same bare lenga wood features heavily, contributing to the atmosphere of warmth, along with other cozy organic gestures. From here the town of Puerto Natales is within easy reach, as is the airport, and the endlessly wild Patagonian landscapes and seascapes are all around.
