Like its sister hotel Casa do Conto, Tipografia do Conto puts a contemporary riff on a historic Porto property. Once an industrial space for activities such as typography and graphic arts, the building has now entered a new chapter as a ten key hotel, but still retains its original details such as the stone façade. In the guest rooms, raw concrete ceilings have been inscribed with texts from various Portuguese and international authors in the fields of architecture, art and design, while wood paneling and rich leather vintage furnishings bring a warmth to the pared back white walls. Facilities include a garden, central courtyard, outdoor pool, and bar Hífen, which also hosts a rotating program of exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.
