米其林指南的觀點

Though a hotelier’s favorite color isn’t generally something we place a lot of stock in as an indicator of the hospitality experience that’s in store, we’re making an exception for Mia Resort Nha Trang. Their favorite color is green, and it pops up in all sorts of ways. Eco-friendly grass-roofed buildings; lush gardens skirting the hotel’s palm-fringed private beach; a bar called Mojito’s whose specialty is — you guessed it — mojitos, made from the fresh green sugarcane for which the resort is named. We could go on, but the bigger point here is that this is a resort that feels very much in harmony with its natural surroundings (which are, for the record, not at all unverdant). In fact the hotel blends in so thoroughly that, from a modest distance, it almost disappears into the landscape.

Beyond pleasing the eye, the hotel’s disappearing act also results in a high degree of privacy. It’s tucked discreetly into the hills at the edge of a placid bay, with the guest rooms set in low-slung buildings hidden away amidst coconut palms and fragrant frangipani trees. The greenery isn’t so profuse that it blocks out the views of the sea, but there’s enough cover to feel at ease while soaking up some sun on your private veranda.

For the most part the Mia’s appeal lies in its simplicity and restraint, but one place where they’ve got a nice heavy hand is in the freebies department. You can stock up on free loaner snorkel gear for a swim amidst the fishes and corals, attend the weekly complimentary yoga session on the beach, catch rides around town on the hotel’s shuttle service, even take breakfast in bed at no extra charge. And they’re generous in other ways as well, as in ample square footage in even the most basic rooms, luxurious four-poster king beds and spacious spa-like bathrooms.

A serene and breezy spa — a world of billowing white cotton, rich hardwoods and natural stone — feels like yet another subtle outgrowth of the coastal surroundings, while a pair of casual seaside restaurants makes excellent use of the fishermen’s daily haul from the bay. And if you want to admire your dinner while it’s still swimming, there’s an on-site PADI dive center which can help you make that happen.

How to get there:
Mia Resort Nha Trang is located 25 minutes by car from Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), and about the same distance from Nha Trang train station. The train station is on the main railway line connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
