Chow Kit is the name, first and foremost, of a neighborhood in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, known for its markets and for its thrillingly unsavory old reputation. These days it’s one of the city’s hippest quarters, and is home to a hotel that shares its name — designed by the Brooklyn firm Post Company, the Chow Kit is arguably the first properly swanky luxury boutique hotel in town.
