A modern, colorful, rock-and-roll–inspired hotel in Geneva? The Hôtel N’vY styles itself a “boho-chic” boutique hotel, and with its groovy modernist furniture, its flamboyant palette, and its street art aesthetic, it’s a fair description. Headboards bear inspirational quotes against abstract pastel backgrounds; the bar is full of rock-star portraits and memorabilia, and Tag’s Café presents a kitsch version of downtown Manhattan counterculture. And underneath it all, it’s as practical and as professional as any Swiss business hotel. It might not suit everyone’s taste, but you certainly can’t accuse it of blending in.
