It’s an auspicious coincidence for English-speaking travelers that Stayeva 11’s address sounds like it was always intended for a hotel. This 15th-century house stands just within Dubrovnik’s fortified city wall, right next to St. John’s Fort, which overlooks the harbor. It’s been a family-owned guest house since 2014, but only in 2020 was it upgraded to its present form: a stylish three-room mini-boutique that combines energy-saving green measures with luxurious comforts like underfloor heating and kitchenettes with SMEG appliances.
At this size it’s a perfectly reasonable candidate for a whole-house rental, but even in its room-by-room configuration it feels more like a residence than a hotel. It helps that the family owners are also your hosts; and while there’s no space for a restaurant or breakfast service, they’re happy to guide you to all the best of Old Town Dubrovnik.
