米其林指南的觀點

The Northeastern hoteliers Lark Hotels are well known across the region for their stylish and smart boutique hotels; among their offerings are a number of small-scale, residential-style guest houses, under the Blind Tiger banner. Blind Tiger Burlington exemplifies the form: a private home dating to the late 19th century, lovingly restored and updated with 14 bedrooms, each one unique, all of them combining period architecture with unique vintage details and original contemporary artworks.

Its location is a convenient one, close to both the University of Vermont campus and the city’s compact lakeside downtown district. The house itself, though, feels pleasantly secluded in a residential neighborhood, surrounded by lawns and gardens; indoor public spaces are plentiful as well, from the verdant solarium with its marble floors and abundant plant life to the barroom and the adjacent living room, where guests gather by the fireplace.

The residential concept means there’s no restaurant; guests help themselves to a light breakfast on site, and for lunch and dinner are directed to any number of fine local establishments. Your hosts know the town inside and out, and each room comes with a letter from a local resident with suggestions for your Burlington itinerary.
