You certainly can’t accuse the Colors Hotel Athens of being anything less than true to its name. Its rooms and suites, from its efficient Business Economy rooms to its bunk-equipped Family Rooms and its lavish Penthouse Suite, are decorated in carefully selected, richly contrasting pairs or trios of colors, which turn its Deco-inspired modern minimalist style into something memorably lively. The vibe is residential and the services are accordingly somewhat low-touch — breakfast is the extent of the culinary program — but the hotel’s location, a few blocks from Omonia Square, means the bustling neighborhood fills in the gaps.
