Though Montenegro’s Adriatic coast is only a fraction as long as those of its neighboring states, it’s every bit as picturesque. Increasingly, too, the Montenegrin coast is home to luxury resorts that rival anything else on the Mediterranean. Among them is the Dukley Hotel & Resort, in the seaside town of Budva: a luxe compound made up of a series of modern stone-and-glass buildings cascading down the hillside, ending in a sunset-facing private beach.

Within these buildings you’ll find a wide range of accommodations, from a compact-yet-stylish Superior room with a single king bed to a variety of suites (or “Residences”) and a handful of Penthouses. Many are sized for families; the largest fits up to eight adults and one child. And at all levels they’re handsome and modern, decorated in a stylish maritime palette and chic contemporary furniture.

Dukley’s location places it directly between public beaches at Budva and Bečići, to which the resort’s own private beach is a most welcome alternative.
