There is no air-conditioning or background music, just the rustle of date palms, the scent of incense, and the flicker of over 1,800 lanterns lit nightly by hand. With just 30 rooms and a rooftop pool, the hotel favors atmosphere over ornament. It does not feel like stepping back in time, it feels like time never left.
