As a rule, the Park Hyatt hotels are impressive, but even with that knowledge, the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono feels like it’s on another level. A stunning building in a spectacular natural setting, it’s close to some phenomenal skiing, but is a worthy destination year-round. The rooms, as you’d expect, are soothing and attractive, with plentiful nods to Japanese tradition; a few suites come with private onsen baths, while everyone else makes do with those at the vast spa and wellness center. A multitude of restaurants and bars includes Molière Montagne, an outpost of chef Hiroshi Nakamichi’s Molière in Sapporo.
