The Florentin resurrects Villa Speyer, a 1901 banking family mansion that spent years as Villa Kennedy before going dark in 2022. Althoff's takeover kept the villa's nine original suites intact while grafting on contemporary rooms that don't fight the heritage architecture. The central courtyard delivers the kind of removed-from-reality terrace dining that makes you forget Frankfurt's glass towers exist three bridges north. Sachsenhausen's leafy streets put museum-hopping within range, while two restaurants split duties between refined and approachable. The bar takes its spirits seriously, the cigar lounge makes no apologies, and the spa's indoor pool and treatment rooms handle the necessary decompression.
